Obituary - Death of Coorow Storekeeper - Late Mr "Pat" Casey
There was an atmosphere of genuine regret amongst residents of Coorow, Waddy Forest and Marchagee on Monday last as the result of news to the effect that a well known business man in the person of Mr Aeneas ("Pat") Casey, of Coorow, had passed away that morning in the Royal Perth Hospital. The late Mr Casey, who had conducted a general store at Coorow for many years past, recently spent several weeks in hospital, but returned to his home in the hope that a period of rest would restore him" to normal health conditions. However, he was a victim of a somewhat serious relapse, and in consequence he was again admitted to hospital in Perth. On Friday of last week his condition commenced to deteriorate, and his resistance gradually weakened until he passed away on Monday morning last. The deceased gentleman is survived by a widow and three children comprising one daughter (Letty) and two sons (John and David). The funeral took place in the Catholic Cemetery at Karrakatia on Wednesday morning last."
