Man Found Dead
"Eric Charles Waller Paton, 75 years, widower, farmer of Marchagee, was found dead at his home at East Marchagee, about 2 p.m., on April 29th, by his neighbour Mr O. P. Randell, who immediately informed Constable Varney, of Carnamah, who made the necessary enquiries. Late Mr Paton had a gun shot wound in the head. It is understood that several letters addressed to various people were found near the body. No suspicious circumstances were suspected."
